There's a TON of great Elton John songs. It's mighty hard to pick a favorite. When I first heard this song, it bumped my previous favorites way off to the side. This song makes me cry. Tears of gratitude and humbleness. I change the words to say "I've got all that God allows". And for that, I'm thankful.

From 1971 Rca LP "That The Spirit Needs", That album was supposed to mark Jose's turning point, the first self-produced away from the RCA supervision-production-ownership of his highly successful previous ones and almost all the songs written by him as an author (only 3 covers out of 11), unfortunately it was not lucky in the charts as it deserved, in reality it's a really good album, better than many other artists who were at the top of the charts in those years but weren't worth equal to Jose.
